Lodging at Canyon in Yellowstone National Park

Canyon is the area that is near the spectacular Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and the Lower Falls. Canyon is located in the middle of Yellowstone Park and staying there puts you within easy driving distances to many of the Parks attractions.

Accommodations at Canyon include two new lodges that have more than 80 hotel rooms. There are also rustic cabins that were built in the 1950's and 60's. All of the lodge rooms and cabins have private bathrooms.

The two new lodges are named Dunraven and Cascade. The Cascade Lodge was built in 1992 with three floors, but no elevator. The Dunraven Lodge was completed in 1998 and has four floors and the lodge does have an elevator. The rooms in both lodges are nicely decorated with a western motif. Most of the rooms have two double beds. You can stay in the lodge from May 29th to September 13, 2009. Room rates are $172 per night.

All of these cabins have full private bathrooms and two queen beds. There are no telephones in the rooms. The Western Cabins are available from May 29th to September 13, 2009 for $156 per night.

The Frontier Cabins were built in the 1950's, similar to motel-style units, and are in modules of 4 or 8 cabins. They were recently updated and remodeled. Each cabin has a private bathroom that include a sink, shower and toilet. Like all of the cabins, there are no telephones in the rooms.
